Xbox Expands Cloud Gaming Capabilities to All Owned Games
Microsoft is taking a significant step forward in its Xbox Cloud Gaming service, expanding its offerings beyond Xbox Game Pass titles. This move will allow players to stream all games they own, not just those available on Game Pass.
What’s Changing?
In 2020, Microsoft launched Xbox Cloud Gaming, allowing players to stream titles from the Xbox Game Pass library. However, this limited access to games that weren’t part of Game Pass. Now, Microsoft is reportedly planning to expand its streaming offerings to include games that aren’t part of Xbox Game Pass, as long as they’re owned by the players themselves.
Rolling Out to Xbox Insiders
According to reports, Microsoft will begin testing this new option on Xbox Cloud Gaming servers with Xbox Insiders as soon as next month. The company has been building towards this moment by upgrading the capabilities of Xbox Cloud Gaming to handle thousands of games.
