Stalker 2 Patch 1.1 and Next-Gen Upgrade Announced
GSC Game World has released patch 1.1 for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, addressing over 1800 issues. The studio also announced plans for a next-gen patch for the console versions of Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy, coming sometime next year.
What’s in the Patch and What’s Next?
Patch 1.1 aims to significantly improve the player experience. GSC Game World stated that they will continue updating Stalker 2 throughout 2025, with a content roadmap to be shared early in the new year. They also plan to update the PC versions of the original Stalker games.
The studio acknowledged the initial performance criticisms following the game’s November release. CEO Ievgen Grygorovych previously explained that delaying the game wasn’t an option due to the team’s intense development schedule.
