Stalker 2 Patch 1.1.4 Addresses Critical Issues
Stalker 2’s latest update, patch 1.1.4, tackles several major problems reported by players. According to developer GSC Game World, this patch prioritizes fixes for game crashes, shader compilation issues, and memory leaks.
Key Fixes in Patch 1.1.4
This update specifically addresses freezes and crashes linked to shader compilation. A memory leak in the Rostok location is resolved, save loss on Xbox is prevented, and UI animation-related crashes are fixed. Additionally, performance drops during aiming and shooting on long-play saves are now a thing of the past.
GSC Game World highlighted shader compilation crashes as the most challenging issue to resolve. Players experiencing persistent issues are encouraged to use the official help page. The developers have also confirmed that another major update is in the works.
A Challenging Launch and Continued Support
Stalker 2’s launch, while highly anticipated, was not without its share of bugs and performance issues. Despite this, the developers opted against further delays. The game, a symbol of Ukrainian resilience, even briefly overwhelmed the Ukrainian internet upon its release. Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl is available on Xbox Series X, PC, and via Game Pass.
