Rogue Prince of Persia’s Second Act: A Royal Makeover

Ubisoft has released a massive update for The Rogue Prince of Persia, titled Second Act. This update acts as a relaunch, significantly enhancing the game since its early access release in May 2024.

What’s New in the Second Act Update?

The update features:

• Upgraded art and a new color palette: The Prince’s purple hue is gone, replaced by a color more fitting to the game’s setting and the series as a whole. The “Purple Prince” skin will return in a future update.
• New areas to explore: Discover the Mines and the Craftsmen’s District.
• New narrative content and bosses: Experience a fresh story act and challenging new enemies.
• Quality-of-life improvements: Enjoy difficulty re-balancing, multiple save slots, and automatic pick-up for spirit cinder & gold.
• New languages: The game now includes German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

Even with the changes, the game’s core appeal remains strong. As Chris Donlan noted in an earlier Eurogamer review, the Prince is “charismatic… in what he does and how he moves.”
