PS5 Update Fixes Final Fantasy XVI Graphical Bugs
Sony has released a system update for the PlayStation 5 to address graphical bugs and crashes reported by Final Fantasy XVI players after the last PS5 firmware update.
Update to Fix System Software Performance and Stability
The update, version 24.06-10.01.00, is said to improve system software performance and stability. Although Sony didn’t mention any specific fixes for the game, a post shared on the official Final Fantasy XVI X account stated that the update was released in response to the crashes and graphical bugs reported by players.
Issues Caused by Previous Update
After the PS5 update released on September 12th, players of Final Fantasy XVI and other games like Star Wars Outlaws, Death Stranding, and Elden Ring reported stutters and other issues. In Final Fantasy, players experienced game crashes while loading save files or fast-traveling. Others encountered severe graphical issues, including black squares that would end up covering large portions of the screen, making the game unplayable.
