Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a fantastic 2D metroidvania. You play as Sargon, rescuing the kidnapped prince on Mount Qaf. Sargon gains tools and weapons to overcome challenges.

Gameplay Mechanics

While the powers (air dash, bow and arrow, dimension-shifting) aren’t revolutionary, their execution is incredibly fun. The level design makes using these powers a rewarding experience. Puzzles are challenging but not frustrating. One standout puzzle involves using ghost doubles with limited time to collect a key item.

Combat is equally rewarding, requiring skillful use of Sargon’s abilities. Boss fights demand mastery of attack patterns and strategic use of powers. While new combat abilities are gained, the core abilities remain central.
