Path of Exile 2: Big Endgame Update Improves Rewards
Path of Exile 2 Endgame Update: More Rewards, Less Grind
Path of Exile 2’s upcoming 0.1.1 patch focuses heavily on improving the endgame experience. Game director Jonathan Rogers stated that larger meta-shifting changes are planned for a future update, but this patch addresses immediate player concerns.
Improved Rewards and Gameplay
This update brings significant changes to make map exploration more rewarding:
- Map balance tweaks: Adjustments to monsters, chests, essences, and other materials.
- New towers: Four additional towers added for greater map variety.
- Improved Pinnacle boss access: Citadels will spawn closer, and players get six respawn attempts on the Arbiter of Ash boss.
Further quality-of-life improvements include:
- Increased attack effect visibility.
- Faster monster spawns from strongboxes.
- Increased Atlas zoom level.
- Removal of terrain collision problems.
- Ability to overwrite item sockets.
- Additional boss balance changes.
The full patch notes will be released later this week. Grinding Gear Games previously acknowledged that Path of Exile 2 wasn’t rewarding enough, and this patch is a direct response to that feedback.
Our review of Path of Exile 2 praised its impressive package even in early access. This update promises to further enhance that experience.
