Palworld: Big update, new ending, Nintendo lawsuit
Palworld Celebrates First Anniversary with Major Update
A year after its early access launch, Palworld, the Pokémon-inspired game with guns, continues to thrive. The game, which reached over 2 million concurrent Steam players in January, is receiving a substantial update.
What’s New in the Palworld Update?
Pocketpair’s roadmap for Palworld’s second year includes exciting additions:
- Co-op Crossplay
- World Transfers for Pals
- World Tree / Ending Scenario
- Improvements to Pals and gameplay
- New Pals, technologies, and game collaborations (including Terraria)
- Various quality-of-life improvements
The game’s soundtrack is now available for free on the Pocketpair YouTube channel.
Legal Troubles with Nintendo
Despite its success, Palworld’s developer, Pocketpair, faces a lawsuit from Nintendo for patent infringement. In response, Pocketpair removed the Pokéball-style summoning mechanic.
Palworld Entertainment, a new company founded by Pocketpair, aims to expand the Palworld brand beyond video games.
