Nintendo Switch & EA Sports College Football Dominate Sales Charts
While anticipation builds for the Nintendo Switch 2, the original Switch continues its reign, securing the title of second best-selling console in US history, with 46.6 million units sold. Simultaneously, EA Sports College Football 25 achieves a monumental feat, becoming the best-selling sports game in US history based on dollar sales within its first year.
November Sales Highlights
These milestones were revealed in Circana’s (formerly NPD) November report. The report also showed that the overall US video game market experienced a 7% year-over-year decline in November. Despite this, some titles performed exceptionally well.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 topped the game charts for November, and sits at number 2 for the year-to-date sales, behind EA Sports College Football 25. Mario & Luigi: Brothership was the only new title to enter the top 10 last month.
Hardware Sales
In the hardware market, the PS5 led in both unit and dollar sales for November. Notably, the PS5 Pro contributed significantly to these figures, accounting for a substantial portion of PS5 sales and dollar intake.
