Monster Hunter Wilds: New Beta Next Month!
Get ready hunters! Capcom has announced a second open beta for Monster Hunter Wilds, launching next month, just over seven years after the release of Monster Hunter: World in 2018.
What’s New in the Beta?
This beta will be similar to the October beta, letting players explore the character creator, try a story trial, and tackle the Slay Doshaguma quest. A new addition is Gypceros, a monster absent from the first demo.
Characters created in the first beta can be carried over! However, game progress will not transfer. The beta will run across two weekends on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, with cross-platform play. It’s open to everyone, regardless of Game Pass or PlayStation Plus subscription.
Beta Dates and Rewards
The beta runs from:
- February 6 at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET to February 9 at the same time
- February 13-16 (likely the same hours)
Participants receive in-game rewards, including a weapon charm and an item pack.
Feedback and Future Updates
Capcom noted they’ve received feedback from the first beta, which saw nearly 500,000 concurrent players on Steam. However, changes based on this feedback won’t be in this beta. These improvements will be implemented by the game’s February 28 release date.
