Marvel Rivals Patch Addresses Numerous Bugs and Gameplay Issues
NetEase’s Marvel Rivals received its first patch, addressing various environmental and audio problems. The update tackles issues across multiple areas, improving gameplay and overall experience.
Key Fixes and Improvements:
A significant fix addresses players getting stuck on maps. While largely resolved, the developers acknowledge further adjustments may be needed. Other fixes include resolving lag during highlight playback, correcting textual errors, and improving stability by reducing game freezes after crashes.
The patch also enhanced several features, including correctly displaying equipped costumes in Quick Matches and accurately showing mission progress. Memory leaks related to FSR 3 on PC and costume display issues on PlayStation with the Scarlet Spider costume have been fixed.
Map and Game Mode Specific Fixes:
- Resolved character clipping and getting stuck issues on various maps.
- Fixed fog disappearance issues for Hela and Storm in Wakanda maps.
- Addressed visibility problems with Jeff the Land Shark’s special effects.
- Corrected lighting abnormalities in Competitive mode on Hydra Charteris Base.
- Fixed door synchronization issues after disconnecting and reconnecting.
- Addressed character becoming stuck beneath terrain during target area ascension/descent.
- Resolved Ultimate energy carry-over between Competitive rounds.
Hero-Specific Fixes:
- Resolved missing voice lines for Wolverine.
- Fixed missing sound effects for Star-Lord’s MVP animation.
- Corrected missing voice lines for Iron Fist’s pings.
- Fixed incorrect descriptions for Black Widow’s settings.
- Addressed issues with Black Widow’s and Captain America’s Ultimates.
- Temporarily disabled Doctor Strange’s portal terrain KOs to address an energy restoration bug. A full fix is planned for a future update.
