Marvel Rivals: Cross-Progression Coming Soon
Marvel Rivals, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox, features cross-play, letting players battle friends and online opponents. However, a key feature is missing: cross-progression. Currently, progress is platform-specific.
NetEase Games acknowledges player demand for cross-progression and is actively working on a solution. Creative director Guangyun “Guangguang” Chen explained to Dot Esports that platform-specific rules present challenges. The team will announce progress as soon as it’s ready.
Cross-Progression Challenges
While the development team works to integrate this functionality, it’s important to note the complexity of implementing cross-progression across different platforms. The process took four years for Apex Legends, but hopefully, Marvel Rivals’ implementation will be faster.
