Mai Shiranui: Street Fighter 6’s Fatal Fury Star
Get ready for some fierce fighting! Mai Shiranui, the iconic Fatal Fury character, is joining the Street Fighter 6 roster! This follows her previous appearance in the mobile game, Doomsday: Last Survivors. Street Fighter 6 marks her return to a Capcom game since SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos in 2003.
A “Good Girl” with Deadly Skills
A new teaser trailer showcases Mai’s signature fighting style. In a humorous twist, she refers to herself as a “good girl” before a training session that’s quickly interrupted by some unruly ninjas. Needless to say, they picked the wrong opponent.
More Mai and Terry Action
Mai’s Fatal Fury partner, Terry Bogard, already joined Street Fighter 6 earlier this year. The pair will reunite in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the first sequel in 25 years! This new installment will include a unique solo-player RPG mode, launching on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on April 25, 2025.
Mai’s Journey
Interestingly, Mai was a highly requested character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in 2019, but ultimately excluded. Now, she’s ready to grace Street Fighter 6 with her presence, adding another layer of excitement to the already impressive lineup.
