GTA 6’s Vice Beach Map Recreated in GTA 5
A Fan’s Impressive Feat
While waiting for GTA 6’s release, a YouTuber named Dark Space is creating a mod that brings a piece of the anticipated game’s Vice Beach map into GTA 5. This ambitious project involves recreating the area using GTA 5’s assets and is planned for release on the FiveM server in two weeks. Dark Space has been showcasing their progress on YouTube and Twitter, generating excitement within the GTA community.
Concerns about Take-Two’s Response
Dark Space acknowledges the risk of Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, taking down the mod. They explained to IGN that their project differs from previous mods that directly competed with Rockstar’s products. This mod uses existing GTA 5 assets, making it distinct from others that have been removed in the past.
Former Rockstar technical director, Obbe Vermeij, offered insight into Take-Two’s takedown policy, stating that they target mods interfering with their business interests. He cited examples such as the VC NextGen Edition mod and the Liberty City preservation project.
GTA 6 Release Details
GTA 6 is set for release this fall on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC release expected later. The anticipation is high, and fan projects like Dark Space’s mod highlight the dedication and creativity within the gaming community.
