Grezzo Reportedly Developing Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
Nintendo has been tight-lipped about the developer behind their upcoming game, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. However, a recent report suggests that Grezzo is the studio behind this highly anticipated game.
According to Eurogamer, people who have preordered the Switch exclusive have spotted Grezzo as the developer. This is not the first time Nintendo has kept the developer of one of its first-party games under wraps. For instance, it’s still unknown who’s developing Mario & Luigi: Brothership for Switch.
Grezzo’s Experience with Zelda Franchise
Grezzo has previously worked on several Zelda games, including The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. They have also developed games outside the Zelda franchise, such as Ever Oasis on 3DS and Jet Dragon on iOS.
This news comes as the official store page for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom only shows Nintendo as publisher, without a developer. The game is set to launch on September 26.
Gameplay and Features
GameSpot’s preview of the game noted that it plays like a mini Tears of the Kingdom. It’s the first mainline game in the franchise to star the princess, though Link might be playable at some point. The game’s ROM has reportedly leaked, but Nintendo has yet to confirm the developer officially.
The lack of transparency from Nintendo about the game’s developer has raised some eyebrows. However, with Grezzo’s experience with the Zelda franchise, fans can expect a high-quality game.
