WTF?! Gamers are camping outside Micro Center for the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 launch, despite mixed feelings about the price-to-performance ratio.

Limited Supply Fuels the Frenzy

Both cards launch on Thursday, but limited initial supply has led to lines forming days in advance. Reddit and Discord show campers outside Micro Center in Tustin, California.

One camper explained they were securing a card for personal use, citing the high prices of gaming cards. While many are likely genuine gamers, scalpers are also expected to be present.

Micro Center’s Voucher System

Micro Center will use a first-come, first-served voucher system on launch day. A voucher guarantees a purchase (one card per customer), but not a specific model. The company discourages camping but doesn’t prohibit it.
