The Cliffteezy Meme

Cliffteezy originated at the Chongqing Major in 2019. During an EG vs. Secret match, Arteezy, playing Terrorblade, was vacuumed onto a cliff by Dark Seer. Unable to activate his Black King Bar, he helplessly watched his team fall before meeting his demise. This wasn’t a one-time occurrence; similar cliff mishaps followed at the DreamLeague Major (Ursa) and even SumaiL, his teammate, experienced a cliff-related incident at the Disneyland Paris Major.

Sprouteezy: The Predecessor

Cliffteezy is an evolution of “Sprouteezy,” born three years earlier at the Shanghai Major. Arteezy, playing Sven, was trapped by Misery’s Sprout, preventing him from reaching the enemy base. Another Sprouteezy moment occurred later in the same tournament, this time involving Mind Control’s Furion.

A Cliff Moment for the Ages

Interestingly, Arteezy also had a cliff moment in his favor! Four years ago at StarLadder 12, while on Team Secret, he accidentally pulled four members of Moscow 5 onto a cliff, buying his team valuable time.
