Forza Motorsport Gets a Stunning Graphics Boost with Ray Tracing
Get ready for even more breathtaking visuals in Forza Motorsport! Nvidia has announced a PC-exclusive update arriving December 9th, bringing ray-traced global illumination (RTGI) to the game.
What is RTGI?
RTGI enhances the already impressive graphics by calculating more accurate indirect lighting and occlusion in real-time. This affects all aspects of the game, from gameplay and cinematics to photo mode. The result? Hyper-realistic visuals that are even more stunning.
Enabling RTGI
To activate RTGI, set “Raytracing Quality” to “Full Reflections + RTGI,” then select a quality level under “RTGI Quality.” Note: This feature demands high-end hardware and will impact frame rates. Nvidia recommends using DLSS or DLAA to mitigate performance issues.
Forza and Nvidia’s Partnership
This isn’t the first time Nvidia has used the Forza franchise to showcase its graphical advancements. Last year, DLSS 3 support was added to Forza Horizon 5.
Don’t Forget Forza Horizon 4!
Remember that Forza Horizon 4 is being delisted and removed from Game Pass on December 15th. Grab it while you still can!
In GameSpot’s review, Forza Motorsport was praised as a triumphant return for the simulation racing series, approachable and rewarding.
