Forza Horizon 3 Online Servers Are Back!
Good news for Forza Horizon 3 players! The online servers are back up and running after a period of reported downtime. This follows the game’s delisting from digital stores, but thankfully, online features like the marketplace, clubs, and rivals are now fully functional again.
What Happened?
Following reports on Reddit about unavailable online features, a senior community developer at Playground Games confirmed the server reboot. They acknowledged the issue and apologized for any inconvenience caused.
The concern stemmed from the fact that Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Horizon 3 had their servers shut down previously. Players feared Forza Horizon 3 would suffer the same fate. While Forza Horizon 3 reached its “end of life” status in August 2020 and was removed from sale, its online servers had remained active until this recent interruption.
A Contrast to Other Game Shutdowns
This contrasts with the shutdown of Ubisoft’s The Crew, which led to legal action. In other gaming news, 2K recently announced it was shutting down online servers for WWE 2K23, leaving only WWE 2K24 with online functionality.
Enjoy the races!
