Fortnite Remix: Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice Concert
Fortnite is revisiting Chapter 2 in a big way with The Remix: Chapter 2. This new mini-season brings back characters, gameplay, and locations from the game’s popular second chapter, which originally launched in 2019 and was known for its fresh start with a brand-new map.
A Musical Journey Through Time
The Remix launch featured a concert by Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice, both in-game and in Times Square. The month-long event will highlight different musical artists each week, including Eminem and Juice WRLD, offering unique themed experiences.
The event, running from November 2nd to 30th, includes a new cosmetic item: customizable kicks for your in-game avatar. This isn’t Fortnite‘s first foray into nostalgia; last year’s Fortnite OG mini-season successfully brought back lapsed players.
More Than Just Nostalgia
Music has always been a significant part of Fortnite, with past virtual concerts by artists like Travis Scott and Ariana Grande. The game’s integration of music continues with Fortnite Festival and the recent streamlining of battle passes to accommodate diverse game experiences.
Beyond music, Fortnite continues to expand its partnerships. Recently, Hasbro, ESPN, and even the Kamala Harris campaign have created their own Fortnite islands, highlighting the game’s versatility and reach.
