Fortnite Chapter 6 Map Takes on a Japanese Theme, Leaks Reveal
Get ready for a new era in Fortnite! Chapter 6, set to begin in December, will introduce a fresh battle royale island with a Japanese theme.
Rumors of a Japanese-themed map have been swirling for a while, fueled by leaks and concept art released by Epic Games earlier this year. The artwork prominently features samurai, shinobi, and a koi carp-inspired version of the popular Fishstick character.
Confirmation from Fortnite Leakers
Reliable Fortnite leakers, Shiina and Wensoing, have confirmed the Japanese theme for Chapter 6, citing in-game files found within the recent Chapter 2 Remix update. These files include the Chapter 6 skybox, hinting at a Japanese setting.
Wensoing has also shared details on some of the biomes expected on the new map:
- Shrine
- Rivers
- Plains
- Farmland
- Forest
Fans have also spotted a possible teaser for a Japanese environment in a recent loading screen. The image features a large red circle and blossom petals floating on water.
Fortnite’s previous Chapter 5 map was inspired by Ancient Greece. The new Japanese-themed map will be a significant departure, bringing a fresh, exciting experience to the game.
The new era of Fortnite is set to begin in December. But before then, another live event will usher in the new chapter.
