Good news for those eagerly awaiting Rare’s enchanting fantasy adventure, Everwild. Xbox’s CEO of Gaming, Phil Spencer, has confirmed that the game is very much alive and kicking, despite its initial reveal almost six years ago.
The Long and Winding Road
After the first teaser reveal in 2019, and a second trailer in summer 2020. Since then, updates have been scarce. But, for any who had fear about cancellation just recently Spencer shared some promising news on the XboxEra podcast. He confirmed that the team is actively making progress on Everwild.
Spencer recently visited Rare and expressed his satisfaction with the team’s work. He emphasized that Xbox is committed to giving teams the time they need to create quality games. A dream realized for both Spencer and Matt Booty.
