Dr Disrespect Speaks Out: I Shouldn’t Have Been Banned
Guy Beahm, better known as Dr Disrespect, is calling out Twitch, demanding they reinstate his banned account. This comes after Beahm admitted to inappropriate conduct with a minor in June 2024, in the direction of being inappropriate.
The Controversy
Recently, Twitch updated its rules on streamer violations, applying limited-time bans. Responding to this, Beahm stated on his X/Twitter account that a low-level employee shouldn’t not allowed to override the entire ban system.
His tweet reads: Although things have been ‘settled’, Twitch should do the right thing and correct their mistake of permanently banning the Doc by reinstating the channel. We should’ve never been banned in the first place.
He further claims his ban was due to biased opinions of his Dr Disrespect persona and that mutual jokes were misinterpreted. He believes a simple call could have clarified the situation.
The Backstory
The ban followed allegations from a former Twitch employee that Beahm was sexting a minor. Beahm later admitted to conduct that leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate.
