Devolver Digital Delays 3 Games to 2025, Announces Funny Awards Show
In a preemptive strike against Geoff Keighley’s Game Awards, Devolver Digital unveiled its own comedic awards show, “Devolver Delayed 2024.” The show hilariously announced the delay of three games to 2025: Baby Steps, Stick It To The Stickman, and Skate Story.
Award-Winning Delays
Each delay was presented as a unique “award”:
- Best Inadvertent Tripping Simulator – Baby Steps
- Best Late Stage Capitalism Roguelite – Stick It To The Stickman
- Best Glass Demon In A Leading Role – Skate Story
The show also introduced a surprise contender: Volvy’s Adventure DX, winner of Best Color Version Of A Monochromatic Classic. This 8-bit platformer, starring Devolver’s rat mascot, was revealed via a brief teaser, leaving its actual existence somewhat ambiguous, as even creator Daniel Mullins seemed unsure.
Baby Steps, originally shown in June 2023, along with Skate Story and Stick It To The Stickman (both debuted in 2022), will all now grace us with their presence in 2025.
