Destiny 2’s Sundered Doctrine Dungeon: Race, Date, and Rewards
Destiny 2’s new dungeon, Sundered Doctrine, arrives February 7th, following the Past is Prologue event. This dungeon takes players back to Savathûn’s Throne World, challenging them within Rhulk’s Pyramid Ship. A high-stakes race in Contest Mode kicks off the dungeon’s release.
Sundered Doctrine Launch and Contest Mode
The 48-hour Contest Mode begins February 7th, with only one winning fireteam. To participate, fireteams of three must be at Power Level 1995 or higher, own The Final Shape Dungeon Key, and have completed The Drowning Labyrinth quest. Victory requires each team member to complete every encounter for the first time and loot the final chest.
Contest Mode Requirements and Rewards
Contest Mode significantly increases difficulty with aggressive enemies and an enrage mechanic. Power level is capped at 1995, and resurrection tokens are available during encounters. The winning team receives a unique emblem and a guaranteed exotic weapon.
Watching the Sundered Doctrine Race

Viewers receive the Trigonic Amber emblem. After the contest, Sundered Doctrine opens to all players at normal difficulty.
