Destiny 2’s Star Wars Update: Lightsabers, Death Star, and More!

Destiny 2 and Star Wars have teamed up in an exciting new collaboration! Get ready for a galaxy far, far away within the Destiny 2 universe. This update brings a plethora of Star Wars-themed cosmetics, including armor, Ghost shells, emotes, Sparrows, and ships.

New Armor Sets: Each class receives a unique Imperial-themed armor set: Titans get Shock Enforcers (Stormtroopers), Hunters get Covert Rangers (Death Troopers), and Warlocks get Royal Protector (Imperial Guard).

This collaboration follows previous crossovers with The Witcher, Mass Effect, and Assassin’s Creed, but the Star Wars theme is undoubtedly the most significant yet. The new items were released as part of update 8.2.0, coinciding with the start of Episode Heresy.

Highlights of the Update

Among the exciting additions is the Death Star Ghost shell, which lights up with its iconic beam. Emotes include Fated Duel, Infantry Practice, and Remote Training Session. Finishers range from the prequel trilogy’s Unlimited Power to the sequel trilogy’s Riot Control, referencing a scene in The Force Awakens. Other items include the Death Troopers-inspired gear and the Mandalorian references.

All items are available for purchase using Silver (in-game currency purchased with real money), with some available in discounted bundles. Unfortunately, they can’t be acquired with Bright Dust, the currency earned through gameplay.
