Dbrand Leaks: New Nintendo Switch 2 Design Details
New leaks from Dbrand, a case manufacturer, reveal potential design details for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. The leaks suggest a larger console with notable upgrades compared to the original Switch and Switch OLED.
Key Design Leaks:
Dbrand’s “Killswitch 2” case, based on a 3D scan of the actual hardware, indicates the Switch 2 will be larger and taller than the Switch OLED, but roughly the same thickness. Specific dimensions, according to Dbrand CEO Adam Ijaz, suggest a 270mm width, 116mm height, and 14mm thickness.
Other notable features include: a magnetically attached Joy-Con with a rear ejection button; a mysterious second button on the right Joy-Con labeled “C”; and joysticks standing 6.27mm tall, with ABXY buttons protruding 1.57mm. The kickstand is reportedly 180mm wide.
While Dbrand is confident in their leak, the exact function of the additional “C” button remains unclear. The company suggests the possibility of it being a new capture button or a function reminiscent of the Nintendo 64’s C-buttons.
