Get ready for a new detective game inspired by the critically acclaimed The Rise of the Golden Idol! City of Voices, a collaboration between Kimi Games and pixel artist Matt Frith, is bringing its unique brand of deduction gameplay to PC.
A Familiar Mystery, a New Setting
The game follows a young girl in England facing bullying, her slice-of-life story taking a fantastical turn. Similar to The Rise of the Golden Idol, players will unravel a mystery by investigating time-frozen clues and piecing together events.
Inspired by the Best
Designer Will Ackermann received permission from The Rise of the Golden Idol’s creators, Andrejs and Ernests Kļaviņš, to implement the game’s acclaimed deduction mechanics. Ackermann stated, “I was quite nervous about asking Andrejs and Ernests for permission to essentially steal their mechanics, but luckily, they were flattered!”
