Call of Duty Remains King of the Weekly Top-Played Games Charts
Market research firm Circana has released its list of weekly most-played games for the final week of October in the US, counting from October 27 to November 2. Unsurprisingly, Call of Duty still reigns supreme, retaining its number one placing on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while creeping up from fourth to third on Steam.
Circana executive Mat Piscatella revealed the most-played lists on Bluesky, and added some extra statistics to go along with it–such as the fact that a staggering 58% of active Xbox users played a Call of Duty title over the week. While that can likely be attributed to the new release of Black Ops 6 on October 25th, Circana only tracks the Call of Duty HQ launcher, meaning players logging into Warzone or older CoD games will all be tracked under the one title. The stat for PlayStation 5 was also impressive, if not as high as Xbox’s, with 37% of active players using the Call of Duty HQ launcher.
The one new game to make it into the top ten lists is one that’s not even out yet–the beta for Monster Hunter: Wilds–which debuted at 11 on PS5, and in second place on Steam.
