Call of Duty Games Arrive on Xbox Cloud Gaming October 25
Xbox Cloud Gaming is set to receive a major boost with the addition of Call of Duty games. Microsoft is bringing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, and Call of Duty: Warzone to Xbox Cloud Gaming later this month.
Launch Date and Availability
The games will be available on Xbox Cloud Gaming starting October 25th. This marks the first time a Call of Duty game has been available at launch on Xbox Cloud Gaming, following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard last year.
Ashley McKissick, corporate vice president of gaming experiences & platforms at Xbox, stated that this is a first for the Call of Duty franchise and a win for the community.
System Requirements and Supported Devices
To access the three Call of Duty games on Xbox Cloud Gaming, users will need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. The games will be available to play across various devices, including consoles, PCs, mobile devices, Amazon Fire TV devices, Meta Quest headsets, and some Samsung TVs.
Future Plans for Xbox Cloud Gaming
The launch of Call of Duty into Xbox Cloud Gaming is part of Microsoft’s larger plans to expand its cloud gaming capabilities. Next month, Microsoft will begin testing the ability to stream games that users own, but are not part of the existing Xbox Game Pass library. This feature will start with Xbox Insiders and a limited selection of games before expanding to more users and games.
