Battlefield 6 Test Program: Overwhelmed by Enthusiastic Fans
EA’s new Battlefield Labs community test program for the upcoming Battlefield 6 (or its yet-to-be-revealed title) has been met with overwhelming fan interest. The announcement sparked such a huge response that EA’s sign-up page was quickly overwhelmed, requiring the implementation of a queue system to manage the influx of eager participants.
Record-Breaking Interest
Battlefield Comms, EA’s official communication channel, expressed their gratitude for the enthusiastic response, acknowledging that the level of interest far exceeded their initial projections. Despite some initial sign-up issues, EA assures fans they are actively working to resolve them and encourages everyone to keep trying. Importantly, the order of sign-ups will not affect acceptance into the program.
What to Expect
The first Battlefield Labs test is scheduled for the coming weeks. Participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), preventing them from sharing any details about the test. However, EA plans to share summaries and insights from these tests via public blog posts.
Battlefield Studios and Future Plans
Beyond Battlefield Labs, EA announced Battlefield Studios, the collective name for the four studios (DICE, Criterion, Ripple Effect, and Motive) collaborating on the future of the Battlefield franchise. Their efforts will focus on creating a connected Battlefield universe encompassing multiplayer, single-player, and other experiences. The next Battlefield game is currently in pre-alpha, with no confirmed release date yet. EA’s upcoming earnings report might shed more light on the project.
