Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Prone Stealth Revamps Gameplay
Assassin’s Creed Shadows introduces prone stealth, significantly altering the game’s controls and parkour mechanics. The crouch and dodge buttons have been swapped.
Control Changes
X now crouches (tap) or goes prone (hold), while B handles dodging, rolling, and parkour drops. This separation improves control during parkour.
Key improvements:
- Improved parkour moves, including recovery rolls.
- Directional dodge over ledges.
- Prone assassinations.
- Climbable surfaces are more deliberate, impacting traversal.
Enhanced Parkour
Traditional parkour moves return, complemented by new options. Fall damage is still a factor, but hay bales remain your friend!
The addition of a grappling hook means that only some surfaces are climbable, which creates more strategic parkour routes and enhances the contrast between the playstyles of the two protagonists.
Release and Additional Features
Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches February 14th. Naoe’s Naruto run and a canon story mode option without narrative choices add further excitement!
