Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete: Offline and Paid
After announcing the shutdown of its free mobile game, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on November 28th, Nintendo is launching a paid version called Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete on December 3rd.
What’s New in Pocket Camp Complete?
For a one-time payment, players get a revamped game with offline play. This means no more constant internet connection is needed.
However, online features like the Market Box are removed. Other changes include:
- New features like walking around the island with villagers and customizable Camper Cards.
- A new location, Whistle Pass, for friend interaction and nightly K.K. Slider performances.
- New in-game currency, Leaf Tokens, replacing Leaf Tickets.
- Inclusion of Pocket Camp Club features like Merry Memories and Happy Helper.
- Data transfer option from the original Pocket Camp, allowing players to keep their progress.
Pricing and Availability
Initially priced at $10 until January 31, 2025, the price will increase to $20 afterward. Pre-orders are available on the Google Play Store and App Store. The game originally launched in 2017 and quickly gained popularity, reaching 15 million downloads in its first week. While the paid model is a change, many are eager to try the offline experience.
