Classic Call of Duty Games Headed to Game Pass?
What just happened? New Microsoft Store listings for Call of Duty + United Offensive, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare have appeared. This often precedes the addition of games to the Game Pass library.
A Blast from the Past
While not confirmed, the appearance of these listings suggests fans may soon be able to revisit these classic titles on Game Pass, for console, PC, or both. Call of Duty + United Offensive is particularly noteworthy as a PC-exclusive expansion that never saw a console release.
This potential addition aligns with Microsoft’s gradual integration of Activision Blizzard’s games into Game Pass following their acquisition. Recent months have seen an acceleration of additions, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the Spyro and Crash Bandicoot trilogies, and major titles like Diablo 4 and StarCraft.
Microsoft’s Activision Integration
Adding these classic Call of Duty games offers Microsoft another way to attract and retain Game Pass subscribers. It allows players easy access to iconic campaigns and multiplayer experiences. Microsoft continues integrating Activision’s catalog into the Xbox ecosystem, including Battle.net functionality and Xbox Play Anywhere compatibility.
Although neither company has commented, the timing is interesting,
