Cyberpunk 2077 Skips PS5 Pro Patch
No PS5 Pro Upgrade Planned
CD Projekt Red has confirmed it has no current plans for a PS5 Pro patch for Cyberpunk 2077. This was revealed on social media in response to a fan inquiry. While the statement leaves the possibility open for future changes, players shouldn’t expect a patch anytime soon.
The lack of a patch might be linked to the fact that, according to CD Projekt Red, no one is currently working on Cyberpunk 2077. Development staff have transitioned to other projects, including upcoming Cyberpunk and Witcher titles.
Other PS5 Pro Patches & Issues
Several high-profile games received PS5 Pro patches upon the console’s release in early November. However, some users reported that patches for games like Silent Hill 2, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth actually degraded the visual quality. EA acknowledged issues with the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor patch and stated they were investigating.
PS5 Pro Sales
The PS5 Pro launched at $700. Early reports from Sony indicate that the high price didn’t negatively affect sales.
