Path of Exile 2: Seamless Cross-Play and Cross-Progression
Path of Exile 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the popular 2013 RPG, is bringing much-needed modern features to the table. One standout is its full cross-play support, a first for the franchise.
Cross-Play in Path of Exile 2
Unlike its predecessor, Path of Exile 2 offers complete cross-play compatibility across all platforms. PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One players can seamlessly team up. This means you can easily party with friends regardless of their chosen platform. Path of Exile 2 supports parties of up to six players.
Path of Exile 2 launches in early access on December 6.
Adding friends is simple: use their in-game username. If they’re on the same platform, you can also use your system’s friends list. Cross-platform trading is also enabled, making item exchanges frictionless.
Cross-Progression in Path of Exile 2
Path of Exile 2 also boasts cross-progression, allowing you to access your saved game data from any platform. Play on PlayStation 5, then switch to PC – your progress travels with you. This feature will be available from the early access launch.
Path of Exile 2 hits early access on December 6, 2024.
