Metal Slug Tactics Launches on Game Pass and Major Consoles Next Week
Metal Slug Tactics, a turn-based tactical title developed by Leikir Studio and published by Dotemu, is set to launch on November 5 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is a revival of SNK’s classic run-and-gun title, Metal Slug, and will be available on Game Pass on day one.
A New Take on the Classic
Three years ago, Dotemu announced that it would be reviving Metal Slug as a turn-based tactical title. The wait is almost over, and fans can now look forward to the game’s release next week. The gameplay will feature an isometric perspective and turn-based action, while maintaining the throwback pixel style and over-the-top weapons that fans of the series have come to love.
A Familiar Duo Returns
The game features Clark Still and Ralf Jones, a duo who made their debut in arcades in SNK’s 1986 action title Ikari Warriors. Clark and Ralf previously appeared in Metal Slug 6 and Metal Slug 7 before returning for Metal Slug Tactics. They are joined by Leona Heidern, a woman with the ability to disguise the team’s fallen enemies as decoy allies that can draw enemy fire away from the heroes.
Key Features
Metal Slug Tactics is set to bring a fresh take on the classic Metal Slug series, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release next week. The game’s unique blend of turn-based tactics and classic Metal Slug gameplay is sure to appeal to fans of the series and newcomers alike.
