Epic Games Store Freebies This Week
The Epic Games Store continues to give away a free game each week, and this week is another nice find with a price that can’t be beaten. Every Thursday at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, Epic offers at least one free PC game (and sometimes even as many as two or three). All you need to do to claim the free games is create a free Epic account and enable two-factor authentication. You have a week to add the freebies to your library before the new one(s) take their place.
Current Free Games at Epic
This week, you can grab The Callisto Protocol and Gigantic: Rampage Edition for free on the Epic Games Store. The debut game of Striking Distance Studio, The Callisto Protocol is a gory and gruesome spiritual successor to Dead Space, although the game received mixed reviews at the time. In the months after release, several substantial patches fine-tuned the gameplay, and story-based DLC in the form of The Final Transmission was released. Striking Distance also announced this week that a new game set in the same universe, Redacted, will be out on October 31.
MOBA fans can check out Gigantic: Rampage Edition this week–a colorful game with competitive action and hero-shooter influences. There’s a diverse roster of characters to choose from, upgradeable abilities, and plenty of maps. This version of the game upgrades the experience with cross-platform play, new heroes, more maps, and gameplay improvements.
Next Free Games at Epic
Next week, you can pick up Fallout: Classic Collection and Wild Card Football for free from the Epic Games Store. Fallout: Classic Collection gives you three old-school games to check out–Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel–in all their old-school glory.
Wild Card Football is an arcade-style football game featuring 7v7 team-focused gameplay, as well as optimized rules, customizable teams and outfits, and even several real-life pro players in its roster.
