Meet Stasik, the Gamer Who Spent Over $500,000 to Reach the Highest Steam Level
Steam users who strive to reach the top spot on the platform’s leveling system can spend a small fortune to achieve their goal. One such user, known as “stasik,” has recently claimed the throne by reaching an astonishing level 5,960 on Valve’s gaming platform.
How Much Did it Take to Reach the Top?
According to estimates by YouTuber ohnePixel, stasik likely spent anywhere from $500,000 to $700,000 to achieve this feat. This staggering amount is not just for the level number itself but also for his massive inventory of rare CS:GO weapon skins and other valuable digital goods.
What’s in Stasik’s Inventory?
Stasik’s virtual net worth is tied up in his collection of rare items, including a nearly $9,000 factory new M4A1 Howl skin with a racial slur prominently displayed. His profile also boasts a bunch of game bans alongside offensive imagery made from arranged stickers.
Speculation is swirling that stasik’s over-the-top level push may have also been motivated by beef with another high-level user known as MoneyLead. An alleged former friend claims stasik wanted to show how easy it was to blow past MoneyLead’s level if money was no object.
Not much is known about stasik besides his location, which has been listed as the United Arab Emirates – despite his persistent use of Russian language everywhere. With so many high-net-worth individuals immigrating to the UAE, it wouldn’t be surprising if the use of Russian is simply a remnant of his origins before relocating with a vast fortune to splurge on hobbies.
