Death Stranding 2 Introduces New Characters and Gameplay
The original Death Stranding had its own bizarre touches, but it looks like Hideo Kojima is going even further with the sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. At the Tokyo Game Show, Kojima Productions debuted an extended preview of Death Stranding 2 that featured new characters, a photo mode, and a living puppet named Dollman who has a song in his heart.
New Characters in Death Stranding 2
The preview introduced several new characters in the game. These include Tarman, the captain of a submarine, who is voiced by Marty Rhone and has the likeness of director George Miller. Another character is Dollman, a living puppet who was once a human medium before he was stuck in his current form. Dollman is voiced by Jonathan Roumie and has the likeness of Fatih Akin.
Gameplay and Photo Mode
In the preview, Sam Porter Bridges, played by Norman Reedus, is reunited with Fragile, played by Léa Seydoux. They introduce him to the new characters, and Sam becomes acquainted with a pregnant woman named Rainy and a newcomer who goes by Tomorrow. The preview also shows a photo mode where Fragile, Tomorrow, and Rainy take Polaroid-like pictures that look more realistic than everything else.
Kojima Productions has not revealed much about the gameplay of Death Stranding 2, but the preview suggests that the game will have a unique blend of action and storytelling. With its new characters and gameplay mechanics, Death Stranding 2 is shaping up to be an exciting sequel to the original game.
