Understanding Orbs of Chance

Orbs of Chance are rare drops. Their description: “Unpredictably either upgrades a normal to Unique rarity or destroys it.” Using one on a normal (white) item has a 50/50 chance of success or destruction. Losing the item isn’t a huge setback, but losing the Orb is costly.

Farming for Orbs of Chance

Primary Methods:

• Enemy Drops: Orbs of Chance can drop from enemies, with bosses having the highest chance.
• Chest Looting: Chests offer a smaller chance of containing Orbs.
• Chance Shards: Collect 10 Chance Shards to create one Orb of Chance. Shards are more common than Orbs, particularly on Cruel difficulty and in the endgame.
