The Fantastic Four, Marvel’s first family, are joining the superhero battle in Marvel Rivals! NetEase Games revealed a teaser image, promising a new trailer on January 6th. The tweet announcing the Fantastic Four’s arrival included hashtags #MarvelRivals, #FantasticFour, and #NewYorkCity.
A Fresh Look for the FF
Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing have received updated designs for Marvel Rivals. Mr. Fantastic, for instance, appears younger and more muscular. H.E.R.B.I.E., their robot, is also featured, fueling speculation about his potential as a playable character, much like Jeff the Land Shark.
The Fantastic Four’s Big Year
The Fantastic Four’s inclusion in Marvel Rivals coincides with their cinematic return in 2025 with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, marking their MCU debut ten years after the 2015 reboot. Alternate versions of Mr. Fantastic and Human Torch previously appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Deadpool and Wolverine.
